UX/UI design is the foundation of Historia mobile and web applications

It’s not exactly a secret that when it comes to software development today, the primary objective is about enhancing user experience and satisfaction.  Here at Historia, we strive to incorporate best practices in the software we build for users— and UX/UI design is one of them.

At the end of the day, it’s how your users remember the experience.

What is UX design?

User experience (UX) design focuses on providing relevant and significant experiences to users when they interact with the application. The main aim of UX design is to provide maximum user satisfaction by improving the way users interact with devices, apps, and websites.

In essence, UX design keeps users in mind—providing a user-friendly product tailored to the specific needs of customers. It embraces a broad range of aspects that combine to provide the best possible experience when using the app or website.  These include branding, usability, functionality and even content.

What is UI design?

User interface (UI), on the other hand, focuses on allowing the user to interact with the application in the most effective and natural way. It encompasses critical features of the application, such as each screen, page, buttons and other visual elements.

Why UX/UI design is Important to Historia

Both UX and UI design play an essential role in helping Historia achieve its mission. We believe that the best way to provide delightful experiences to our users is to understand your interests and build applications that are a joy to use and own.  The Historia mobile wallet app, for example, gives you the best experience of transactions within the Historia ecosystem. It includes all the basic functions you’ll need, as well as a full range of operations with cryptocurrencies. Moreover, the mobile wallet is a 100% open source and decentralized, which means signing and storage are performed within the app and no key or password is sent over the internet.

The menu is now divided into multiple intuitive groups so that you have everything at your fingertips (Address book, Sweep paper wallet, Network monitor, Settings, and Disconnect option):

For example, the Safety menu item contains all the necessary settings that you need to encrypt your wallet, so you can have peace of mind.

As Historia continues to grow, our mobile wallet app is getting better and more functional. Our UX team spend endless hours collecting your feedback and listening to your comments, so we could create an intuitive user experience for you. We are happy to say that the next mobile app update will undergo some serious improvements, and we will also introduce some entirely new features.

The Historia team is also proud to announce that we are currently working on a web GUI voting platform. The upcoming cross-platform web application will have a more modern, fast, and responsive user interface meant to improve user experience and interaction. With the voting app, our goal is to achieve the same high level of quality you know and expect from a blockchain-based application.

And finally, we’re always looking for ways to improve the user experience. Please feel free to provide feedback on our UX/UI design and what you would like to see.
